Advanced Translation Editor vs Classic Translation Editor
ATE breaks translations of a post into small bits that can be translated independently in a new UI whereas CTE translates each post as a whole in the traditional post editing UI (Classic Editor and Block Editor).

Choose default post translation method:
Can be overridden on a per post basis:
WPML > Translation Management
Choose posts and strings and:
- assign them for translation to users of WordPress
- assign them to paid translator services inside WordPress that function via WPML
WPML > Translations
Assigned translations can be managed here:
- either to be translated directly or
- to be export as XLIFF files to be sent to external translators who will send them back translated to be imported to WordPress.
